Boredom Abounds

I must warn you that this might be a bit of a rambly post. I'm on major narcotic painkillers for one...I'm bored...my husband is watching a weird show on SyFy called Caprica- that is definitely not catching my interest...The weather out is the normal blah January winter you would expect in Chicago...And well my thoughts are just super scattered!

I mustered some energy this morning to pick up my Valentine's Day Swap Gifts for my swap partner Holly at Food, Photos, and Tanks! I'm super excited to get the fun goodies sent out to her! Thanks to The Mrs. at Trying Our Best for hosting another wonderful blog swap. I will post what I sent as soon as my partner receives her stuff- and I'll post my gift once I get mine! Yay! What a way to kickstart Valentine's Day 2011.

Speaking of Valentine's Day, here is what I would like to find around my neck...

Nothing like some Tiffany to melt a girl's heart right?? :) But in all honesty, I'm just glad to have my husband, friends and family- I don't really expect anything for V-day. I've been blessed a hundred times over to have a husband that will bathe me, feed me, and carry me around post-surgery. That's a gift far beyond what I deserve.

Jumping to another topic...I really can't wait until I am recovered. I want to start doing 5Ks again- probably not until June in order to get myself in working order. The one I would like to do in June is the North Shore Half Marathon/5K here in the Chicago area. Then there's one in August, September, October, and November I want to do!! HAHA....it gets a little pricey...but so fun and worth it. I can totally see how doing these can be super addicting.

On another note, I really want to get back into yoga once I can start bending and moving better too. The studio I have one to in the past is a little far away...but where I live now there is one I really need to just take the plunge and check out. I miss meditating and doing yoga- I think it really put me in a better place mentally and physically.

So here's to my rambly post...wishing and wanting to do all sorts of things but restrained by my slow-healing body. Patience IS a virtue :)

Hope you get to feeling better soon.
I never could get into yoga, I don't think I am bendy enough.

I haven't done yoga in ages and I keep saying I need to get back to it too. Dr. Oz claims yoga and meditation help weight loss so I'm all about that. Good luck!
